A live production for five straight weeks
Not a shoot day. A residential program with a run sheet that changed constantly, and no second takes on the moments that mattered.

The brief
The Outside was PwC Australia's biggest investment in its people. A $15M signature experience run through PwC Academy: five weeks, each running four days and three nights, on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter Valley, with 2,700 senior associates, managers and partners coming through, and voices like Stan Grant, Kurt Fearnley and Ben Crowe on stage.
The creative team had the problem every immersive experience has. You can't explain it in words. They needed video to promote the program before it ran, capture it while it was live, and recreate the experience afterwards for participants and for the thousands of people who were never in the room.
And they needed a crew who could live inside a moving, multi-week production without being managed shot by shot.
The challenge
Not a shoot day. A residential program with a run sheet that changed constantly, and no second takes on the moments that mattered.
Launch film, weekly highlights, interviews, webcasts, social content and post-event films, all to one standard a firm like PwC would stand behind.
Weekly films had to land while each cohort’s experience was fresh. Shot, edited and delivered on location, week after week.
The creative director needed a partner inside the team, carrying the same vision and the same stakes. Not a vendor to brief shot by shot.
What we delivered
Zarco Creative partnered with The Outside's creative director from the start, and stayed across both years of the program. One crew, one standard, the whole video layer.
Our crew came up through live broadcast news, so a full room, a moving schedule and a same-week edit deadline is a normal day rather than a stressful one. That is the same approach we bring to event video and conference coverage across Sydney.

The result
In the creative director’s words, words were not enough. The films let people live the program through the screen, and kept them coming back.
The video content was used when making the case for the program to run again. The Outside ran a second consecutive year.
Zarco Creative was retained across both years, from inception to final delivery, and the work widened into further PwC projects including the Reinvention Lab.
I had a partner, not a supplier. They were truly part of the team. We shared the same vision, we had the same objective, and that made what we delivered much more impactful.
Some suppliers just press a button and you need to tell them everything. Others take over and create their own version of your truth. Working with Oscar and his team was the perfect balance. They listen to what you need, then help you find the right way to say it.
How we'd run yours
One clear brief. We turn it into a plan, a call sheet and a fixed quote, then it is ours to carry. No back and forth.
An experienced crew with a live broadcast background looks after the schedule, the kit and the moments that matter. You get on with your event.
Highlights, sessions, interviews and cutdowns, delivered fast. Content that promotes the next one before this one ends.
Client quotes lightly edited for clarity from a recorded interview. Program figures from PwC Australia's public media release.
