The brief

The day a national industry body got its name.

RESET is the Australian marketing industry's flagship event, and RESET 2026 carried more weight than usual. It was the first since AANA and ADMA merged, and it was where the combined body was revealed as the Marketing Association of Australia.

More than 600 senior marketing leaders at ILUMINA on Elizabeth Street. A full day opened by CEO Josh Faulks and closed by Andre Agassi, with twelve speakers including Rory Sutherland, Dr Catherine Ball and Raja Rajamannar, hosted by MC Maz Farrelly. Twelve sponsors across four contractual tiers. And a brand new national identity unveiled from the stage.

There was no build day. The venue would not allow one, so the entire rig went in between 6:30 and 8am for a 600 person event. Everything after that had to be captured once, because a day like this has no second take.

The challenge

What made this one hard.

01

A whole floor where cameras were banned

Level 1 was off limits entirely, because the building’s bank tenants could appear in shot. Not at registration, not walking through, not a phone grab. Anything from that floor was unusable, so the plan had to route around it.

02

One stage window, all day

We had a single window on stage at 2:15pm, and only with the client’s nod. Everything else had to be captured from the floor, around a program that never paused.

03

Four sponsor lunches, two levels, all at once

Twelve sponsors across four contractual tiers, with four lunches running simultaneously in four rooms on two levels. Screen time was a contract term, not a creative preference.

04

A 48 hour deadline the client set

The hero wrap and its vertical cutdowns had to be with them by Saturday, two days after the event, while the news of the new brand was still live.

What we delivered

Twelve finished films out of one day.

On site at 7am, out at 4pm, with seven edit days behind it. An empty venue sweep before doors, the new identity captured clean, every speaker's full session with the Q&A, and Andre Agassi's session covered on three cameras with one locked on the room's reaction the whole way through.

The vox pops were deliberately scheduled at morning tea and either side of lunch, never at the end of the day, because the people you most want to hear from leave first. Same framing and background all day, so they cut together.

This is what a full day of conference video and event videography produces when the outputs are planned before the doors open rather than found in the edit.

  • Highlights wrap
The hero film of the day. 1 min 30, widescreen.
  • Vertical cutdowns
Three at 15 seconds, captions burned in, built for the feed.
  • Speaker highlights
All twelve speakers, three minutes, a lower third on every one.
  • Sponsor lunch reels
Four to five reels, 30 to 45 seconds each, vertical.
  • Sponsor and presenting partner film
90 seconds, cut in contractual tier order.
  • Crowd vox pops
90 seconds, with a name, title and company on every person.
  • Rushes and curated selects
The full catalogue, archived and organised by speaker and sponsor.

The result

The client put our work out under their own brand.

The client published it themselves

The reel went out on the Marketing Association of Australia’s own LinkedIn page, in the same week they launched that brand. A client putting our work out under their own name is the strongest signal there is.

The 48 hour deadline held

The wrap and its three vertical cutdowns were with them by Saturday. The asset that went to media and out on LinkedIn was there when it still counted.

A five star review the same week

Ant Gattari left a public review with video attached, closing with an unprompted recommendation to any organisation running a major event.

Andre Agassi on stage in conversation at RESET 2026 in Sydney, filmed by Zarco Creative
The day closed with Andre Agassi. Three cameras, one on the room the whole way through.

We worked with Zarco Creative on The Marketing Association of Australia's RESET, our flagship event, and they were an excellent partner from start to finish.

Jess, Oliver and the team understood what was required, integrated seamlessly into a fast-moving event environment and delivered high-quality content with minimal fuss. They were professional, responsive and solutions-focused throughout, which gave us confidence we had a team we could rely on when it mattered.

I'd happily recommend Zarco Creative to any organisation looking for an experienced and dependable team to support a major event.

How we'd run yours

A flagship day, run so you can be in the room.

RESET is the clearest proof of how Zarco Creative runs a big event day. The same approach carries every conference, gala and awards night we cover across Sydney.

1

Brief us once

One clear brief. We turn it into a shot list, a run sheet and a fixed quote, then it is ours to carry. No shot by shot management on the day.

2

We run the day around your program

Restricted floors, contractual sponsor time, a stage window that will not move. We plan around all of it so your program runs as though we are not there.

3

The films land while it still counts

The hero wrap and the social cuts first, so the event is still current when they go out. The rest follows on a dated schedule.

Client quote reproduced verbatim from a public Google review, 26 August 2026. Attendance figures as reported in the trade press. Zarco Creative did not shoot stills at RESET; every image here is a frame from our own film.
