We film for the NSW Government, including the Premier's Prize for Science and Engineering and the Remembrance Day livestream, and for the Aboriginal Housing Office.
Government video has more approvers than most, and the timeline is usually set by something that will not move.
We plan back from that date and agree the review points up front, so approvals happen in the schedule rather than after it. Where content is embargoed we treat it that way, with the files held and named clearly until you release them.
Accuracy matters more than polish. We do not embellish, we do not put words in anyone's mouth, and we hand over clean masters you can archive.
Public information has to reach everyone, so accessibility is part of the job rather than an extra.
We supply captions with the finished video, and we can provide transcripts and a separate caption file where your platform needs one. Plain language, clear on-screen text and readable contrast are built in from the first cut.
On procurement, Zarco Creative is registered on AusTender and active on the VendorPanel Marketplace, We carry public liability and workers compensation cover, and we will supply the certificates and paperwork your process asks for. We can work through a panel or as a direct engagement.
Public sector video has to be usable by everyone who pays for it. That is not a nice extra at the end, it is part of the deliverable.
So captions, transcripts and readable on-screen text are in the quote from the start. Contrast on titles is checked rather than assumed. Where a piece carries important information in vision only, we make sure it is said as well, so it still works for somebody listening.
Audio description and Auslan can be arranged where a piece calls for it. Tell us the standard your agency works to and we will meet it.
The same thinking runs through the edit. Plain language over jargon, and a piece that makes sense to somebody who has never heard of the program before.
Government work has more reviewers than any other sector we film for, and they rarely review at the same time.
We ask for the full list at the brief, in order, with a realistic turnaround against each one. Those dates go into the schedule as steps with names on them. If a piece has to go past a minister's office, the delivery date says so.
On the day we record alternates for any line that might not survive review, and keep program names, figures and dates as on-screen text where we can. Changing text is quick. Rerecording a person is not.
Everything is reviewed in one place so eight people comment on the same version, against the frame, instead of eight separate email threads.
