The brief

A campaign built on one idea: a player sits down and reads a letter written to him by his family. Guillermo Ochoa, ahead of his sixth World Cup and near the end of his time with the Mexican national team. There is no script to perform and nowhere to hide.

What we did

We filmed it plainly and got out of the way. A quiet room at the Mexican Football Federation, a considered frame, and enough time for the reading to land. The letter runs from his family's pride in his career to the line that matters most to them, that above everything else he is their dad.

The result

The piece ends with Ochoa unable to speak. Nothing in the production asks for that moment, it just stays with him when it comes.
