A corporate video in Sydney costs $3,000 to $12,000 + GST. A half day with one Director of Photography and one person on camera sits at the bottom. A full day with a producer on set, a hero video and a set of social cuts sits further up. A multi-day project across several locations is a bigger job, at $12,000 to $30,000.

Those are our real numbers, set in September 2026 and reviewed in October. Here is where they come from, and how to tell whether a quote you have in hand is fair.

What does each kind of corporate video cost?

Corporate video is a family of jobs, and the cheapest and dearest are a long way apart. These are the ranges we publish, all + GST, for a finished video asset.

Kind of videoRangeWhat that buys
Customer testimonial$2,500 to $6,000One location, one or two people on camera, a one to two minute video plus social cuts
Executive piece to camera$2,800 to $8,000A half to full day, one or two executives, autocue and delivery coaching included
Corporate video$3,000 to $12,000A half day with one Director of Photography at the start, a full day with a producer on set as the brief grows
Case study$4,000 to $12,000Two to four interviews plus b-roll, usually across one or two sites
Brand story$6,300 to $12,000One shoot day, a 60 to 90 second hero video, four social cutdowns, up to three people on camera
Employer brand and recruitment$6,300 to $12,000Staff interviews and workplace b-roll, a hero video and cuts for careers pages and LinkedIn
Multi-day or multi-location project$12,000 to $30,000Several shoot days or sites, a crew sized to the job, a set of finished videos from one brief

Events, livestreams and video news releases have their own ranges. All of them are on our Sydney video production cost guide, with the film that matches each row playing beside it.

What moves the number?

Five things, in the order they matter.

  • Days on site. A half day and a full day are not far apart on paper. The difference is how much you get in the can, and that flows straight through to the edit.
  • How many people we are filming. Three interviews in one place is a different day to three interviews in three buildings.
  • How many locations. Moving a crew is the quiet cost. Two sites in a day usually means less filmed at both.
  • What the crew needs to be. A Director of Photography and a producer covers most corporate work. Panels, live events and anything going to broadcast need more on the day.
  • How many finished videos you want. One hero video and four social cuts is a different edit to one video. This is the part people underestimate.

What sits outside the price?

Most quotes hide this until the invoice. These are the lines that only appear when the job needs them, and they always appear as their own line on ours.

  • Travel outside Sydney. A travel day per crew member plus mileage.
  • A dedicated sound engineer. Basic audio is inside every shoot day. A panel, a live event or anything going to broadcast needs multi-channel sound.
  • Drone. Added when it earns its place in the edit. Restricted airspace needs approvals, and we tell you before you book.
  • A rush turnaround. A tight deadline is usually possible and it carries a premium. Tell us the date early.
  • Talent and studio hire. Only when the brief needs them, passed through at cost. Music licensing is included.

What are you actually paying for?

The shoot day is the part you can see. It is not the part that makes a job run.

The rest of the number covers booking and managing the crew, the schedules and call sheets, licensing, insurance and the legal paperwork, managing the edit through to sign-off, and the kit we do not itemise. On a job with several locations and a deadline, that is most of the work.

Our quotes are built in four parts so you can see it. Pre-production is the brief, the plan and the shot list. Production is the crew and the kit on the day. Post-production is the edit, the cutdowns and two rounds of changes. Production management is its own line: booking the crew, licensing, insurance, the paperwork, and running the edit through to sign-off. We show it rather than burying it in a day rate.

Why do two quotes for the same brief differ so much?

Usually because they are not the same job. Two quotes can be thousands apart and both be fair. Ask these four questions of every company on your shortlist and the quotes become comparable.

Ask themLooks cheaperSame brief, more in it
Who is actually coming? One operatorA Director of Photography and a producer
How many finished videos do we get?One videoA hero video and six cuts
How many rounds of changes are included?OneTwo
Is the number fixed? An estimate that can moveFixed, start to finish

The first question is the biggest single difference between two quotes for the same brief. The second is where quotes quietly diverge. On the last one, ask whether the figure you approve is the figure on the invoice. Ours is.

What is the cheapest way to get good corporate video made?

Film more than one thing on the day. The crew, the setup and the travel are the same whether you come away with one video or four. Most of the value on a shoot day is in what else you capture while everything is already standing.

That is why one shoot usually feeds the website, LinkedIn and Instagram. The hero video and the vertical versions come off the same setup, framed for both from the start.

Is video production more expensive in Sydney?

A little. Crew, kit and locations all cost more here than in most of the country, and parking and access on a CBD shoot add time before a camera turns over. The gap is smaller than people expect, and it disappears entirely if you are filming several things on the one day.

What should you do with a set budget?

Tell us the number. We will tell you honestly what it buys and what it will not, before anyone books a day. Every figure in this post is + GST and quoted by the project, so you get one number before we start. Here is how we run corporate video production in Sydney, and you can start a conversation whenever you have a date in mind.
